Short arc xenon lamp is a kind of xenon lamp light source, other long arc xenon lamp and spherical xenon lamp. According to different illumination methods, it can be divided into internal illumination type light source and external illumination type light source.

The xenon light source system is divided into point light source and parallel light source. It is an experimental equipment that uses the xenon light source as the luminous core, and cooperates with a professional cooling system, stable power supply and trigger device to light and operate the xenon light source. Point light sources are generally connected to optical fibers, so that the simulated sunlight can reach small and dark experimental equipment. The parallel light source is generally a beam of light spots, and the size of the light spot can be adjusted according to the experimental needs.




Xenon lamp light source generally adopts spherical xenon lamp bulb. The parallel beam is irradiated through the light outlet. The light output part can be equipped with different filters to obtain ultraviolet spectrum, visible spectrum, ultraviolet or visible monochromatic light. The light outlet can be rotated 360 degrees. Illuminated in any direction at an angle. The photochemical reactor is generally placed under the xenon lamp for experiments, and the light is irradiated from the outside of the reactor to the reaction liquid, so the light source is also called external illumination light source.

Precautions for the use of xenon light sources:

1. The sharp bulge at the rear end of the bulb is the bulb seal, which is relatively fragile, and it is strictly forbidden to hit it.

2. Make sure the fan is in working state before starting the machine and during the operation of the light source. If the fan fails, it is strictly forbidden to start the machine.

3. When the light source is running, it is forbidden to move.

4. When the light source is running, do not look directly at the light outlet. If you need to observe the light spot condition, be sure to wear protective glasses.


5. When the light source is running, do not touch the surface of the radiator and the filter to avoid burns.

6. Pay attention to the cleanliness of the working environment and avoid small objects falling into the heat dissipation holes above the light box.

7. The working current is strictly prohibited to exceed 21AMP (Ampere).

8. When the high-voltage module fails to activate the bulb and light the bulb for many times (about 10 times), please do not continue to try.
